Meeting the new puppy
Yesterday, Mom, Monica, Jacques and I drove down to Veneta (near Eugene) to meet our new puppy. There were only two available after selections were made for breeding and showing, which made our choice a little bit easier, but I’ll tell you what — not much! I was overwhelmed by their cuteness, and am probably lucky that there weren’t more swarming around. It’s quite possible that I wouldn’t have survived the experience.
The two available pups were from Amelie’s litter: girl #3 (top, fawn) and boy #2 (white pied, bottom).
After snuggling both and watching them interact with each other, with the other adult dogs in the yard, and with all us humans, we settled on the little girl. She’s tiny, stubborn, and has an adorable little sneer.
The little boy was also ridiculously cute, but he was a bit larger than the girl, and we’re hoping to give Tuta a fighting chance by choosing the smaller of the two. She may be chubby, but she’s no match for a dog!
