I believe the fawn colour has been breed standard for the American Kennel Club, but was disallowed by the <a href="http://www.fci.be/home.asp?lang=en" rel="nofollow">FCI</a> until the mid-nineties. Could it be that this change has not made its way to Frenchies in South Africa? We bought Stitch from Monet French Bulldogs in Veneta, Oregon, which probably won’t be of much help!
